The past few months have been a bit of a buzz around the NFMV office, with new volunteers joining up to spice up the office!

Amanda Rogers, a Masters student from New Zealand and Fabien Jan, a biologist from Reunion Island, have kindly graced our office with their very own unique talents in their field of science communication and petrel ecological knowledge respectively.

Amanda’s project is a first of its kind for us as she is producing a miniseries of multimedia stories for our website and we are very fortunate that she has chosen NatureFiji-MareqetiViti as her subject.

Fabien, who for now, maybe in the forested hills of Gau, is assisting us with our ongoing field research on the Kacau ni Gau. His field surveys have so far made very interesting revelations about another petrel that also nests in Gau: the Collared Petrel.
