NatureFiji-MareqetiViti’s new Endangered Species of Fiji website was launched by the British High Commissioner, Mr Roger Sykes.

At a gathering of academics, conservationistst, government officers and members of NatureFiji-MareqetiViti, our website “Endangered Species of Fiji” was launched by the British High Commissioner, Mr Roger Sykes at a function hosted by the British High Commission.

The press was well represented and the High Commission treated us to some drinks and light snacks.

We are very grateful to the High Commission for funding this website which is an important project for us, being our first project to be funded and completed.

Nunia Thomas, a zoology post-graduate from the University of the South Pacific was taken on to compile the website information and did a fantastic job.

We hope that Nunia will stay with us to manage the Jensen Foundation funded project at Tomanivi. We are also grateful to Terunesh Rao for designing and constructing the website.
