Nunia Thomas joins NatureFiji-MareqetiViti as its first full time employee.
Nunia Thomas has joined NatureFiji-MareqetiViti as its first full time employee and has started work on the Endangered Species Compendium which is being funded by the British High Commission.
The Endangered Species Compendium will provide information on 50 of Fiji’s most seriously threatened species.
It will be available through the NatureFiji-MareqetiViti website and as a CD Rom which will be distributed to schools. The project should be completed in March 2008.
Nunia is from Draunivi in Ra and has recently completed her MSc. at the University of the South Pacific.
The subject of her thesis was the endangered Fiji Ground Frog, and its population on Viwa Island.
